Writing to Logo and the write ledger
An operation you do in WMS is not written to Logo by itself. Every write goes the same way and each step is recorded in the write ledger; the ledger is never deleted.
Steps of a write
- Draft: on mobile you fill the basket (scanned products, quantities, lot/serial and shelf information).
- Preview: when you tap Send to Logo, the server prepares how the document will be written to Logo and shows it to you. A line that breaks a rule (e.g. more than the order's remainder plus the card's order tolerance) is rejected here; nothing goes to Logo.
- Approval: you approve the preview. Nothing is written without approval; no approval is given by voice, by AI or automatically.
- Write: the document is written to Logo and the document number Logo gives is recorded.
- Read-back: WMS reads the written document back from Logo and compares it with what it sent.
A preview is valid for 60 minutes; if you send later, it is previewed again.
Statuses
| Status | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Validated | The preview is ready and waits for approval. |
| Sent | Sent to Logo, waiting for the answer. |
| Written | Logo wrote the document and gave its number. |
| Read back | The document was read back from Logo and matches what was sent. |
| Rejected | It broke a rule; nothing went to Logo. A record Logo refused is retried by the administrator from the web panel once the cause is fixed. |
| Error | Nothing reached Logo; the same draft can be sent again (by the person who opened it, from mobile; by the administrator, with Retry in the web panel). |
| Uncertain | Logo's answer did not arrive; it is not yet known whether the document was written. |
| Partial | In an operation with several documents, some steps were written and the next step could not be. |
| Closed by hand | The administrator closed a record that needed attention, with a reason; nothing was sent to Logo. |
If the read-back finds a difference, the record stays at Written and is listed among those that need attention.
When the connection drops, the document may already be written to Logo. WMS never blindly resends such a record: it searches Logo with its own document number (WMS-…) and resolves the status itself. If you see "Uncertain, checking" on mobile, do not enter the same operation again. If the same draft is sent a second time, WMS returns the first result; no second document is written.
In a partial write, WMS does not undo the written documents by itself; the status is visible to the administrator. After looking in Logo and doing what is needed, the administrator closes a partial, uncertain or read-back-difference record with a reason in the web panel (Close record); closing sends nothing to Logo.
Where do I see the operation history
- Mobile: after sending, a success or error page; the error page gives the reason in plain language.
- Web › Movements: every write operation, with operation type, person, time, status and Logo document number. Those that need attention (uncertain, partial, read-back difference) are at the top. The detail shows the steps, the timeline, the summary sent, the error text and read-back differences. A warehouse user sees their own operations, the administrator everyone's. See Movements.
- Web › Cockpit: uncertain, partial and mismatched records also appear in the exception centre.
If the firm is closed for writing
A Logo firm may be closed for writing (e.g. a test or a past firm). Then you see "This firm is closed for writing" in the preview; the reading screens keep working.
